Whether you’re a longtime Balterite missing a ticket, or a mildly apprehensive first timer, we’ve teamed up with the lovely lot at Balter Festival to give you a chance to melt your mind at this year’s festival in June, ‘a lovely little festival full of misfits and circus freaks who just want to let loose’

Returning to Chepstow Racecourse for a fifth instalment next month, the Buckfast enthusiasts are bringing us another epic three-day knees-up, featuring over 200 artists across 10 unique stages. As always there will be a strong Bristol contingent and acts will cover a wide range of genres ranging from garage, drum and bass, gypsycore, hardtek, disco, reggae, hop hip and everything in between.

Remarc, Aries b2b Nicky Blackmarket and the Born on Road crew will be taking care of the junglists this year, while drum and bass heads can catch the likes of Ed Rush, Audio, The Upbeats and Kasra.

Live band highlights at this year’s Balter Festival include afro-beat and jazz troupe Nubiyan Twist, frantic turbo-folk band Pás de Problème, dub and reggae 8-piece Backbeat Soundsystem and long-time festival folk band 3 Daft Monkey’s.

This June will also see the return of Bristol’s 24hr Garage Girls with their infamous human carwash, SIKA Studios with their hip hop-soundtracked live skate ramp, as well as the fabled Sunday Soundclash, with last year’s winners Rumble in the Jungle taking on Tremor Soundsystem.
