leading the charge in the new school drum and bass

Part of DIY underground drum and bass crew and label Born on Road, Selecta J-Man has to be one of the most underrated names in drum and bass. His forward-thinking stye of production marries the best elements of jungle, dancehall, rollers and jump up; leading the charge in the new school drum and bass.

Selecta J-Man has just dropped his new 5-track EP Round Here via Born on Road, with a different flavour coming through on each track.

The song’s waist-winding intro careers into a jungle rager

The chameleonic Rider Shafique lends his vocals to the EP’s title track Round Here – as well as starring in an accompanying music video by BingBong. The song’s waist-winding intro careers into a jungle rager; fusing dancehall, dread bass, dystopian bleeps and a truck load of suspense.

It’s a stonker of a title track, but the whole EP is something to get excited about. You can download or stream In Here in full now or watch the Round Here video above.
