Dot to Dot festival have just dropped their first wave lineup announcement for this year’s May bank holiday festival. Bristol’s OG multi-venue festival, Dot to Dot is the brainchild of DHP Family and will be travelling to Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham over the course of one weekend this summer, with a hoard of some of the scene’s most exciting artists and fresh new talent in tow.
Topping the bill for 2019 is English-Spanish alt-pop electronic trio Crystal Fighters, whose feel-good tunes and captivating live show will set the perfect scene for the start of summer festival season.
Also announced is singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Jordan Rakei. The Ninja Tune-signed, spellbinding virtuoso caught our attention in 2016 with his self-released debut album Cloak, before getting scooped up by Ninja Tune for his follow up Wallflower. Marrying the worlds of hip hop and jazz with world-music influence and an incredible attention to detail, he’s racked up some serious collaborations with Tom Misch, Loyle Carner and Disclosure.

One of the breakout sounds of 2018, Dream Wife are another key highlight on this year’s Dot to Dot bill. The British-Icelandic punk trio have been compared to Yeah Yeah Yeahs and toured with The Kills.
Other highlights include Swim Deep, who after making their Dot to Dot debut in 2015, return this year with a more refined sound that sits somewhere between indie, shoe gaze and pop.

Liverpool indie-pop foursome The Night Café will also be lending their melodic and charming indie sound to the bill. The band are on doubt headed for big things, with their hotly anticipated debut album due for release this year.
Alongside the bigger names, Dot to Dot also have a knack for booking future favourites, with previously billed artists including The XX, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, Caribou, and Florence and the Machine. Dot to Dot haven’t revealed their official 2019 venues yet, but you can expect most key players as well as some underused spaces, if previous years are anything to go by.
