Since 2015, Bristol’s 1020 Radio has been showcasing street-level sounds from some of the best artists, labels and collectives from Bristol and beyond.

They’re already keeping our ears quenched through quarantine with a full schedule, seven days a week, 10am – late, with an excellently-curated programme from world music to techno; and now, they’ve announced the launch of a new compilation series – with all profits going to help support NHS staff and volunteers on the frontline of the COVID-19 crisis.

1020 Curated kicks off with longstanding resident and Sheffield-based producer unperson. With roots in soundsystem music and paying homage to 1020 artists and associates, unperson builds an impactful minimal soundscape across 25 tracks, with contributions from a varied selection of artists, including some familiar faces from the Bristol scene, such as Bengal Sound and Hartta, as well as his own productions.

1020 Curated: unperson will be available from Bandcamp on Friday 24 April – with the first 25 copies bundled with a premium 350gsm print designed by Montag Freedoms.
