One of the best things about Bristol’s music scene is its beautifully collaborative spirit. 2018 has delivered us yet another synergetic project from some familiar faces across Bristol’s jazz, soul, hip hop and funk scenes: Snazzback. Featuring the mesmerising vocals of China Bowls, eight-piece band Snazzback meld together their talents and influences with free improv sensibilities and a natural stage chemistry to create something truly special.

Formed in 2016, busking on the streets of Bristol, in a short time Snazzback have already racked up some serious support slots and a residency at Gallimaufry, not to mention two album releases and a UK tour.
Following the release of their second album Hedge via Astral Tusk last month, we asked Snazzback to answer our 10 questions. Always striving to be more than the sum of their parts, they answered collaboratively, to give us a snapshot of Snazzback as a collective force.
