PREVIEW // Masego headlines an afternoon of R&B at SWX

Multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer and songwriter Masego headlines a new one day event from Bam!Bam!Bam!

Bam!Bam!Bam! present new one-day event Amaglam Shapes at SWX this June, which will be headlined by the sensational Masego – with support from Oshun, Fatima, Maisha, and Leven Kali to create a jazzy R&B infused lineup. And we have got our hands on some free tickets for you, with two pairs of tickets to give away.

a blend of jazz, trap, hip-hop and soul

With a style of music which is hard to categorise, a blend of jazz, trap, hip-hop and soul is the closest description, Masego is a multi-instrumentalist who also dabbles on the DJ decks, along with providing smooth vocals and bars to deliver a chilled sound.

2017 and 18 were breakout years for Masego, with his tear-jerking hit Tadow with FKJ currently charting over 70 million listens on Spotify, and a staggering 132 million views on YouTube, which is where Masego’s journey began – posting his beat making sessions and showcasing his saxophone abilities. His full-length debut album Lady Lady was released last September and, true to form, welds a plethora of different genres.

His sold out show at the Trinity last June has gone down in history as one not to have missed, and with this show landing on the young virtuoso’s 26th birthday, you can expect an extra special show. With an excellent wealth of support artists, expect an afternoon of musical romance taking you through until 11pm.
