The creators of Summer Series are back this year under a new name and with a whole extra day of live music. Bristol Sounds, a series of outdoor nightly concerts, is taking over Lloyd’s Amphitheatre on Harbourside from 21 – 24 June.

They’ve snagged some of Glasto’s biggest acts on their way through the South West, giving us the chance to see some huge acts, who – without a permanent arena-sized venue – wouldn’t usually get to play in the city.

Craig David and Haçienda Classical – the 40-piece orchestra playing 80s and 90s acid house club hits – are the acts stopping in on their way to and from Glastonbury, who will play Bristol Sounds’ Friday and Saturday night concerts respectively.

They’ve also secured Manic Street Preachers and Bonobo – who before Bristol Sounds was announced had appeared to miss his legions of fans in Bristol out of his world tour.

21 June – Bonobo; 22 June – Manic Street Preachers; 23 June – Craig David; 24 June – Haçienda Classical
