London-based party-starters Regression Sessions are celebrating five years of hedonism with a UK birthday tour, finishing up at London’s Ministry of Sound. They’re stopping in at Bristol this Friday for a night of house music and silliness at Lakota.
With a reputation for no holds barred production, at Regression Sessions, quality music and good times can go hand-in-hand (i.e. not one for the beard-strokers).
This tour is no exception, with their ‘Land of Nod’ theme – where big kids can take breaks from the dance floor with a visit to the ball pit, bouncy castle, or playing on space hoppers.

They’re planning on transforming the cavernous Lakota into a fantastical dream world, with a giant cloud DJ booth, hanging lamps shades, umbrellas, load of fairy lights, giant dream catchers, balloon modellers, face painters and more.
The evening is hosted by Regression Sessions residents Toyboy & Robin, who will be spinning a selection of house and deep house and tech house.
Ball pits aside for a moment, it’s a good chance to catch the increasingly popular duo while you can (their events have a habit of selling out quickly), who are gearing up to release their new Palace EP at the end of the Regression Sessions tour.
Toyboy & Robin have given us a selection of party tunes that you can almost certainly expect to hear on the night –
This one is old, but a new find for me and really love it. It’s feel good for the first half, then switches a lot darker in the latter half.
Bhunu Brill & Patrick Khuzwayo – Music’s My Only Drug Ft. Darian Crouse (Chez Damier Panorama Edit)
Been playing this one a lot lately. Really chill but enough groove to get the vibes flowing!
Earth People – Dance (Kerri Chandler Centro Fly Mix – Jerome Sydenham Special Edit)
Can’t stop playing this record right now. Just does the business no matter what time of day or night!
Great slice of house from DJ Sneak. Love the string samples!
Plus, a few more tunes from Toyboy & Robin that will likely get an outing on the evening…
