South West singer songwriter Molly-Anne has launched a new fan-fuelled crowdfunder to help make her debut EP a reality. She’s given Nitelife an exclusive demo of her track Young Fever, which will make up one of the tracks on the EP if she can reach her funding target by mid-December.
Working with Rocketfuel, a crowfunding platform designed specifically to help unsigned artists harness support from their fans, Molly hopes to raise £5,000 in order finance the recording, mixing, mastering and producing of her debut EP with Resound Media.
Fusing elements of folk, indie, soul and country, 23-year-old Molly-Anne creates pleasingly familiar, yet unique melodies, which can’t help but put a smile on your face – whether you consider yourself a fan of folk and country-inspired music or not.

Molly-Anne’s simultaneously sweet yet grown up vocals are accompanied by her own acoustic guitar and harmonica. Drawing on her own experiences, Molly-Anne pens deeply personal lyrics, sentiments which can be heard in the delivery of her vocals and vocables.
Molly-Anne tells Nitelife: ‘Young Fever is an ode to the anguish of heartbreak distilled with the tranquility of nature. Written in the third person whilst I was away in beautiful Cornwall, the lyrics tell a tale of a wistful and fevered separated love. Inspired by the great songwriters Bon Iver, Laura Marling and Bob Dylan, I hope the song can lend a soothing embrace, just like the gentle seaside it was written beside.’

You can also book Molly for shows or as UK tour support.
‘I’m so excited to be working with Rocketfuel and Resound Media on this fan-fuelled crowdfunder. The idea is so simple but so effective, the platform helps aspiring artists to engage with their fan base, whilst funding major projects ready for industry release.
Major record labels often cut indie artists a bit of a rubbish deal, so this is a fantastic way for me to keep full creative control
