While it’s surely tempting to focus on main stage acts to sell festival tickets, Devon’s lovely Lanagland Festival ain’t about that. The teeny, tiny 500-capacity festival sets up camp on Whitmoore Farm each year to put smiles on faces and celebrate the superior musical talent of the South West – with every penny of proceeds going straight to charitable causes.
Entering their fourth year this August, Lanagaland are now pulling in some great, well known names for their main stage (Skata Tones, Undercover Hippy, The Scribes), but Langaland are just as proud to bring emerging talent to your ears.

In the spirit of this, Lanagaland have put together a playlist showcasing some of the great acts they hope you’ll discover on their alternative stages, including Bristol’s own Riot grrrl-inspired punks The Menstrual Cramps, joy and HUBB Records alumni, psychedelic pop 6-piece Beverly Shrills.
