Bristol collective Mi Casa Su Casa celebrate their 2nd birthday next Friday at Old Crown Court. Dedicated to creating good-time, unpretentious spaces for everyone and anyone to enjoy good quality house and techno, the last two years have seen them quietly gain a reputation for a solidly good night.
Helping them ring in their second year will be London-based techno duo Blind Motive, who have put together an exclusive hour-long guestmix for Nitelife to give us a sample of what we’ll be letting loose to with Mi Casa Su Casa next week.
Although they’ve not been on the scene very long, Blind Motive’s signature groovy techno beats caught the attention of tastemakers including Dense & Pika, Maribou State and Monki right from the off, after self releasing their Tenkai EP in 2015.
The quickly-ascending duo have gained further support from the likes of Skream, Gardens of God, Solardo, Kolsch and Todd Terry
Fast forward two years and several released later, the quickly ascending duo have gained further support from the likes of Skream, Gardens of God, Solardo, Kolsch and Todd Terry.
Joining them on the evening will be Dutch-Nigerian producer Shinedoe, who brings her soul-infused techno sounds all the way from Amsterdam for the occasion; as well as Waxmouse, Rocksteddy and MCSC residents Rich King and Jon Lindon.
