One week before their debut at Love Saves the Day, Nitelife is thrilled to present the first of a new summer mix series from Bristol party boys Five10: Summer of Funk.

Five10 – named after their first year student flat – began life as a pipe dream between UWE students Oli Welch and Harry Newson, who began discussing their perfect festival lineup little over a year ago.

Their funk, house and disco nights – topped off with disco balls and glitter galore – went from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye, following up a launch party at Blue Mountain last year with a rammed-out five-part Funked Up series at The Love Inn, culminating in their sold-out Funked Up festival in March this year. Not to mention major shows at Motion with absolute giants Defected Records and United Ants over the past couple of months….

All summer long, the Five10 residents are going to be delivering an exclusive mix for us, dropping on the 2nd Friday of every month. Tune in to the first in the series from co-founder Oli Welch – perfect listening (with a few classic tunes) for a sunny Friday afternoon.

28 May – Love Saves the Day, Cocktails ‘n’ Dreams stage, Eastville Park

Keep up with other Five10 goings on over on their Facebook page or Twitter.
