Sequences Festival returns for a third instalment to Motion’s outside areas this July. The all-day party is headed up by Bristol promoters The Blast, with input from some of UK dance music’s biggest powerhouses. By tradition, Area Three has become the playground of dubstep and grime allstars Deep Medi, Bandulu Gang and friends.

This year, Area Three is officially hosted by DEEP MEDi x Bandulu and sees the return of Sir Spyro, Killa P, Commodo, Kahn, Neek and Rider Shafique for the third year running, along with the likes of Mala, Dubkasm and Egoless. Check out the first wave announcement and second wave announcement for the full Sequences Festival lineup across all three stages, or head over to sequences.co.uk. Amazingly, early bird tickets are still available at £25, but we’d grab one quick as it’s set to be a roadblock.

Bristol photographer Khali Ackford caught some of the behind the scenes action from Area Three at last year’s Sequences Festival –
